Another standout is the Pork Chop, honey and apple marinated and grilled to perfection, served atop a bed of creamy Idaho whipped potatoes—pure comfort food at its finest.

If you're in the mood for a hearty sandwich, the Down South Chicken sandwich, made with Nashville fried chicken, chipotle slaw, and a drizzle of honey, is a must-try. Each bite is a delightful combination of crunchy, savory, and sweet—truly a celebration of flavors. For a classic twist, indulge in the Reuben stacked high with shaved corned beef and tangy sauerkraut, topped with house-made Thousand Island dressing.

Wendell's Pub isn’t just about the food; the service is equally commendable, with guests consistently praising the attentive and friendly staff. Regulars and first-timers alike have enjoyed memorable experiences thanks to servers like Reno and Kim, who create a welcoming environment as if you’re part of the family. Mark Labbett from Pittsburgh shared, “The atmosphere was really nice, kind of a sports theme... Server was very nice and attentive.”

The pub also accommodates a variety of tastes, making it a great spot for groups; however, a few guests have noted that the vegetarian options could use some expansion. Still, with the generous portions and delightful flavors, anybody who visits will leave satisfied. Had a great experience here last night. In from put of town [Pittsburgh] and looking for a local place. The atmosphere was really nice, kind of a sports theme with several TV's not just at the bar. Server was very nice and attentive. My buddy had the Pittsburgh Stacker which is cool because it is basically a Primanti's sandwich (IYKYK). Fries and Coleslaw right on the sandwich. Only negative there is no Italian bread. We also had another Pittsburgh staple, pierogies, they were fried and excellent. I had the Ruben and it was really good, only negative was the corned beef was not seasoned enough and tasted more like roast beef, but it was still really good! The fries were also reminiscent of Pittsburgh as they were similar to the Potato Patch fries at Kennywood. The unfortunate thing if you're from Pittsburgh is that they do not have Heinz Ketchup, a real bummer. But, I highly recommend for a good lunch or dinner. Sidebar, we went to Renie's Lounge that evening and the owner is a friend of Wendell's Pub owner. A++

The French Onion soup is out of this world! The wedge salad is at least one of the best if not the best! French dip salad is so delicious. The Pachos is so good that we had to pause and try to understand why, then we realized how the name came from—“nachos but with potato chips”. Our server Reno was a pro and treated us like regulars on our first visit, and it’s been great every time since.

New owner has made several changes and Wendall's Pub is now back to the original reputation as one of the best in Westerville and Columbus

We love this neighborhood pub. Great bar and pub fare, including fish and chips. A little short on offerings for vegans and vegetarians. We’ve only gone for lunch and dinner, but seating is plentiful and includes a small outdoor patio. I love the French onion soup!

Our waitress, Kim, was friendly and attentive. The Fish and Chips was well cooked, delicious and huge. Will definitely go again to try more items.

Great experience. Kylee took great care of us. Wife had the chopped salad, which was loaded with delicious chunks of chicken breast, as well as tasty chunks of roasted apple, which complimented the pecans perfectly. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Very good meatloaf made with beef and Italian sausage, which gave it a great flavor. Mushroom gravy was on point. Really nice place with nostalgia on the walls.

Fish and chips were fantastic, but had to ask the server to stop vacuuming right by our table while we were eating. They didn’t close for another hour.
